Marcus Crosby

For NABET-41 Vice President

“Empowering and representing our sports freelance community as Vice President!”

  • Marcus W. Crosby is a Detroit native raised in Birmingham, AL.  He has been a freelance videographer for the last 15 years.  Currently he is working as a technical director in sports entertainment, where he has the chance to meet many daily hire sports members and listen to their concerns.  He is eager to serve broadcast members and brings a life time of hands on experience to the table.

  • Marcus will work to identify with each of our members to hear them out.  He will build bridges with the community and find a way to empower through dialogue. The motto “it’s your union let your voice be heard” has meaning to Marcus, who along with our entire team at Media Essential Workers believes that our power and our existence comes from hearing our members out and being responsive to their needs.  By working together we build a future for ourself.  Representing the sports Community Marcus has his finger on the pulse of what a lot of our members who spend time away from their family to cover sports deal with.

  • More than half of our members are daily hires or freelancers.  Our team at Media Essential workers believes it is important to represent all of them.  Two of our slate members running for office represent freelancers, and we are proud of this.  Our entire sports population can feel well severed with Marcus who will work hard to identify these concerns.  You must be part of the group to really represent it well, and this is what Marcus will do.

As a union representative he will make sure that fairness and equal opportunity are priorities.
